While working with customers, I am constantly learning about their needs and managing inquiries that arise. As a result, I have included a list of frequently asked questions along with answers in order to provide additional support. If your question isn’t addressed below, get in touch with me and I will provide the information you need.
How much will it cost?
All family history research is conducted at an introductory hourly rate of £20 for an agreed number of hours. Where travel is required such as to visit archives it is charged at cost. Documents, including birth, marriage and death certificates, are supplied at cost price. Every family is unique therefore the following is a guide only. For someone who is currently in their 50's it may be possible to go back to their great grandparents with twelve hours research. This could possibly include searching for fifty seven records in the form of birth, marriage and death certificates plus census returns.
Personal information supplied, such as address, e-mail address and telephone number will only be used for the purposes of conducting research for the client, communicating with the client about their research and for Kinsfolk Family History Research Services own record keeping. Where it is necessary to refer research to a specialist in a particular field this would be agreed with the Client prior to such a consultation. Clients’ commissioned research will not be published or shared with third parties without permission. Kinsfolk Family History Research Services will retain the Clients’ information, unless specifically requested to destroy it. This is for requests for further research by the client or clarification of research. Kinsfolk Family History Research Services is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
